Rocket car race

Purpose :  
Design and manufacture a vehicle propelled by a model rocket engine to obtain the maximum speed. At the end of the race vehicle must deploy a parachute for a safe braking.

Material :
  • 4 Wheel prefabricated wood agglomerated
  • 1 Rocket engine  C6-4
  • Plastic wrap for food
  • Tabs pin, length and thickness variable
  • Screws
  • Carpenter's glue
  • Expanded polystyrene panel
  • Steel wire
  • Plastic garbage bag
  • Sheet of paper
  • Others lightweight materials (subject to approval)

Maximum dimensions of the vehicle : For better control, the vehicles must be long to control the power of the rocket motor (like a dragster).
  • Maximum width:   200 mm
  • Maximum length:  800 mm
  • Maximum height:  150 mm
